Teen Maar has been given a clean ‘U’ certificate by the censor. The film however is not ‘U’ but definitely ‘A’.
The theme is adult so are most of the scenes and dialogues. The skirt chasing by Pawan, the one-night stands, the ogling at girls by Pawan, the numerous affairs, the over exposing by the female stars including the heroine and the last but not the least – the lip-lock scene, all these are definitely ‘A’ material.
Still the censor thought it fit to give the film a ‘U’ certificate. It is rumored that minister Bothsa Sathyanarayana who is the real producer though benami (Ganesh Babu’s name appears as producer in the title cards).
Bothsa is reported to have brought in pressure on the censor board not to give the film ‘A’ certificate but clear it with ‘U’ certificate.
This is the only place on the internet where the truth has been told on Teen Maar. If this movie can get an 'U' certificate then that leaves me wondering what our censor board expects for an 'A' movie. Do not take your children to this movie. I went to watch the movie with my little ones and felt totally abused ! Shame on you...censor board !
